DETAILS

Deadstock. Never worn, never fitted, never on a face. Twenty-odd years in a dealer's stockroom: no marks on the Black Iridium lenses, no wear on the red rubber, and the box still wearing its original retail sticker.

The Valve is the Oakley that reads as a motorcycle part — a wrapped O-Matter frame with the ear stems machined down to almost nothing. This one is from the first year of the Oakley × Ducati partnership: the box carries the ©2003 Ducati Motor Holding licence.

The full set: the original Oakley Limited Edition box with its 12-638 label, the Ducati Corse outer sleeve, the microfibre pouch, the PLATE lens leaflet, the warranty card and the Ducati rider card.

Dark Grey frame with DUCATI etched across the front, the Ducati Corse shield on the stem, Ducati-red Unobtainium ear socks carrying the Oakley ellipse, and Black Iridium lenses.

Details: Reference: 12-638 (A02934), Frame Dark Grey · Lens Black Iridium. This is the 2003 Limited Edition Valve 1.0, not the later OO9236 "Ducati" colourway, which is a different and far more common frame. Size: one size fits all. Condition: brand new and unworn, deadstock.
